Greetings in the mighty name of Jesus, Talofa or Good'day!

Dating back to 2003, a small group of believers formed a fellowship by meeting regularly to study the bible and pray together. Soon thereafter they felt to take the gospel to their local community and started doing outreaches in aged care facilities in Bethania, Beenleigh, Crestmead and the general Logan area. That small fellowship of believers eventually became the Evangelist Fellowship Ministry of Brisbane Inc a.k.a EFM.

Pastor Tomasi and Mele Stowers were the first anointed pastors for EFM and they faithfully carried that role until 2023 when they retired and passed the baton onto Pastor Ata and Josie Wong Tung.

We acknowledge and give honour to our founding members Pastor Tomasi and Mele Stowers along with Evangelist Sammy and Judy McFarland who formed the first leadership team in EFM. It is upon their shoulders we now stand and continue to build the work that they have laboured hard for over the last twenty-one years.

New Season

 

In 2024 we decided to Rebrand and change the name of our Church for both practical and spiritual reasons such as;

- to register to legally provide aid to those in need in our local community as a form of outreach

- to simplify and make it easier for people to remember our church name

- pursuit of future government funding towards buying our own church building 

- rebrand to connect better with the community and build a culture between who we are and those we are trying to reach. 

- a fresh vision with a shorter and simpler church name

- new season, new timeframe bringing about maturity and fruitfulness 

- God releasing new levels of blessings and new abilities that will prosper us as a church

- stepping into a new season births NEW CHAMPIONS

Why LIVING HOPE FELLOWSHIP?

 

Upon  seeking the Lord for where He is leading us as a church family, Pastor Ata was led to the following passage:

​

1 Peter 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you.

​

The words 'Living Hope' will have a significant meaning to our church community as it reflects our identity, our mission, vision, and values. We will continue to build these pillars of our church community in days to come.

​

Please pray for our church family that this living hope in Jesus Christ continues to grow us into greater depths of His love, healthy relationships, maturity, faith, peace and joy.

We are excited for the future God has prepared for us with a living hope and complete confident trust that our God who began the good work in our church community will continue until the return of Jesus Christ (Phil 1:6).
